Discover Balance and Beauty

A wellness studio from a licensed acupuncturist, specializing in acupuncture and "aesthetics", such as microneedling for skin care and hair restoration. What differentiates Acu and Aesthetics from other acupuncture clinics is the variety of issues treated, extending beyond just the normal offerings of a standard acupuncture practice to include holistic alternative treatments to everyday skin and hair health needs. It provides a safe, serene space for men and women to relax, get the proper care that they need, and make more informed healthy choices for their body, from head to toe!

Dr. Nohea Marlow
Licensed Acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
With over 15 years of experience in health and wellness, Nohea brings a deeply rooted passion for natural healing, cultivated through both personal practice and extensive training. She holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a Doctorate from Pacific College of Health Sciences. Her journey began with her first year of study at the World Medicine Institute, where she was greatly inspired by traditional Taoist principles and daily healing practices like Chi Kung, which now influence her practice methods today. She furthered her clinical education through an internship in China, studying in Guangzhou and Chengdu in her final year of school as well as carrying on the spirit of five element acupuncture and Japanese style training passed on from various mentors. Over the years, she has run two private practices in Hawai‘i Kai and downtown Honolulu, and has simultaneously spent eight years offering community acupuncture through a local clinic.
Today, her focus is on the areas where she has received the most additional training and seen the greatest personal transformation: microneedling for facial rejuvenation. As an avid water woman and competitive wing foiler, she has experienced firsthand the toll that sun, wind, and salt can take on the skin, especially living on a Hawaiian island. Reviving and protecting her own skin naturally has become one of her most rewarding health practices to date—and she's honored to help others do the same through treatments that are rooted in tradition, backed by science, and aligned with a lifelong commitment to vibrant, sustainable wellness. Her goal is to spread awareness around natural and holistic skin care methods that don't introduce invasive procedures, harsh chemicals or unsustainable practices, but honor the aging process with grace and the power of these ancient techniques and medicinal herbs.
